Ethos Power has successfully implemented a groundbreaking initiative by supplying and installing solar-powered pumps on 5600 farms across the vibrant state of Haryana. These off-grid systems are poised not only to generate over 40 GWh of clean energy annually to meet irrigation needs but also to offset a significant 24,000 tons of CO2 emissions per year. Ethos Power’s commitment extends beyond installation, as the company will provide comprehensive Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services for these systems over the next 5 years.
Key Features of the Solar Pump Systems:
• Solar PV Arrays: Ranging from 2700 Wp to 9000 Wp, these systems leverage Ethos Power’s cutting-edge technology to harness solar energy efficiently.
• MPPT-Based Controllers: Ethos Power’s proprietary Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controllers optimize energy conversion for enhanced performance.
• DC/AC Motor-Pump Sets: The solar pump systems incorporate robust and efficient Ethos make DC/AC motor-pump sets to ensure reliable water supply for agricultural needs.
• Remote Monitoring System: Equipped with GPRS-based remote monitoring, the controllers provide real-time data on power consumption, frequency, daily water output, system uptime, and other critical parameters.
• Certification: These systems have been rigorously tested and certified by esteemed international testing agencies, including TUV Rheinland, UL, and NISE, ensuring their capability to deliver over 1,00,000 liters of water per day under Standard Test Conditions (STC).
The deployment of these solar-powered pumps falls under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM Scheme, a visionary initiative by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (GoI). This component aims to support individual farmers in installing standalone solar agriculture pumps, with a target of installing 17.50 Lakh such pumps. This support extends to farmers replacing existing diesel agriculture pumps or irrigation systems in off-grid areas where conventional grid supply is not available.
Ethos Power’s involvement in the PM-KUSUM Scheme reinforces its commitment to leveraging renewable energy for agricultural development. This initiative aligns with the broader mission of promoting clean energy solutions that positively impact both farmers and the environment.
